What is Ensemble RP?
Ensemble RP is a grounded, cinematic GTA roleplay community focused on collaborative storytelling, authentic characters and long-form character development.
Who are we?
Ensemble RP was founded by our core developer and creator, Mannykins, alongside co-founders Ruthberry and jenjenboots. After connecting through the GTA RP community in 2024, they united around a shared vision: to build a fun, community focused, cinematic roleplay experience.
Why now?
Because we miss RP! There's nothing quite like our former RP safe haven, Happy Fun Time so we’ve made one ourselves!
What about GTA 6?
Come November 19th things may get a bit quiet, but the server has been made at a low cost to ensure that we will be around for the foreseeable future, so when everyone's sick of Vice City, Los Santos will be waiting.
Do I need previous RP experience?
No. Ensemble RP is designed to be beginner friendly. You can join with little or no previous roleplay experience and learn as you go.
How old do I need to be?
Ensemble RP is an 18+ community.
What style of RP do you want?
We focus on long-form roleplay that respects your time. We prioritise storytelling convenience over strict realism with a “fake it til you make it” approach. You shouldn't need a real-world degree in medicine, law, or chemistry to jump into a new role. While basic applications still apply for specialised jobs, we skip the weeks of tedious in-game training so you can get straight to the actual roleplay.
Do I need a complicated character?
No. A simple character with believable motivations is often more useful than a complicated backstory. The aim is to give your character somewhere to go. It's OK if you figure it out as you go along.
What is the vibe of the server?
Our overarching storylines take inspiration from grounded crime thrillers and GTA's own story. However, day-to-day interactions shouldn't be overly serious. We want to keep the silliness and jokes that make our community so great.
When is the server most active?
Peak times are usually in the evenings, GMT.
Are there activity requirements?
No. We want you logging in because you are enjoying the experience, not because you are forced to hit a weekly quota.
Is the server Pay-to-Win?
No. We keep running costs low, so there is nothing you can buy to give yourself an upper hand. Any donations go directly toward new scripts. We will make our script shortlist public so players can see exactly what additions we are planning.

How does the economy work?
There's a lot of ways to earn money and lots of things to buy, from nice cars to fancy houses, with more planned in the near future. It is a work in progress however, so bear with us if the balance tilts too far in one direction or the other.
How do I apply?
Apply via our Discord application form. The form will guide you through the information we need before you can get involved.
Where can I read the rules?
The full rules will be made available on the website and Discord when we are closer to launch.
What if I become uncomfortable during RP?
Your wellbeing comes first. You can step away, signal that you need to pause or contact staff. You don't have to stay in a situation that is making you uncomfortable.
Can I stream my RP?
Yes, we encourage people to stream their time on Ensemble! Include the tag EnsembleRP or have EnsembleRP in the title to be shown on our Live Streams page. We just ask you to take care that streaming isn't at the expense of your roleplaying.
